BSK Media is a web design studio in Sydney, run by Brody. It designs and builds websites for small businesses, and shoots the photographs and film that go on them.
The studio builds websites for businesses that need a site to do a job: get found, explain the offer, and turn a visit into an enquiry. Every one is hand-coded, with no page builder and no template licence to renew, which is most of why they load fast.
The difference is what goes on the pages. Most sites are built around whatever images already exist, then patched when they do not fit. Here the same studio shoots the photographs and film, so they are made for the spaces they sit in, on one timeline and one invoice.
The camera work started after dark: floodlit pit lanes at Sydney Motorsport Park, carpark meets under sodium light, and fight cards where the only light in the room hangs over the ring. Low light is where cheap work falls apart, and where a considered frame earns its keep.
It taught a habit that carries straight into web work. Decide what the frame, or the page, has to do before deciding how it looks. The problem changes; the method does not.
